Here at Mersive, we’ve dedicated ourselves to making the workplace more engaging and productive by developing revolutionary wireless collaboration software, Solstice, and accompanying meeting analytics software, Kepler. These innovative products were designed thanks to the dedication and pioneering spirit of Mersive team members. Learn more, first-hand, about life at Mersive from the people who work tirelessly to change how the world meets.

Meet Wade!

Wade is Mersive’s Technical Program Manager who oversees our hardware development program.

What is your role at Mersive and what do you do?
I am a Technical Program Manager on the Product team. So far this has entailed managing the various aspects of the Gen3 hardware program including the circuit board itself, plastic casing, heatsink, labeling, packaging, and certification. It has been a very rewarding role and has allowed me to interface with our wonderful Mersive team members across a broad range of disciplines.

What has been your favorite project so far?
The design and production of the enclosure for the Gen3 Pod. It was amazing to take the vision of our product design team and watch it become a reality within a few months–from concept to digital design to 3D-printed prototype then finally to mass production.

Before working at Mersive, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
My first job out of college was as a test engineer at Lockheed Martin, where I worked on both military and NASA space projects. It was exciting to see spacecraft come together, tour the world-class testing facilities on-site, and be amongst space travel history.

People would be surprised if they knew what about you?
Back in 2016, I was “fun-employed” by choice for about six months between jobs. I spent much of that time traveling around Europe and the Southwest U.S. both solo and with friends. It was refreshing and self-affirming.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m passionate about music, whether it’s going to shows, performing, writing, or recording. Other activities I enjoy include traveling, gardening, yoga, playing computer games, hiking, and skiing.

What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
Don’t be afraid to take the opportunities that present themselves to you. Even if you fail you will grow.

If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
The ability to fly at high speeds. I considered teleportation but realized flying allows you to enjoy the views and the journey on the way.

Would you rather be a tiny elephant or a giant hamster? Why?
A tiny elephant because elephants are smart enough to paint, and it would be super cute.

What advice do you have for prospective Mersive candidates?
Come with an open mind, bring ideas for how we could improve, invest in your co-workers, and enjoy the process!

What are your hopes for our industry?
Seamless virtual reality conferencing and including real-time collaboration–powered by Solstice, of course.

What’s your favorite perk at Mersive?
The office location in beautiful downtown Denver. It enables me to live in the heart of the city and ride my bike to work. We have unique restaurants within walking distance, and it’s a great jumping off point for after-work fun.
