Mersive releases software updates throughout the year to introduce new features and fix bugs, so it is always a good idea to keep your Pod updated. One year of updates and maintenance is included in with the purchase of a Solstice Pod, and additional maintenance plans are available for purchase after the first year. The Pod can be updated from the Solstice Dashboard or on an individual basis through each unit’s configuration panel. For large deployments, we highly recommend updating in bulk using the Dashboard. You will need a USB keyboard and mouse to update your Solstice Pod using an in-room display, or a separate network-enabled device such as a laptop or tablet to update the Pod using the web configuration panel.
The Pod’s main configuration panel can be accessed via the menu in the lower right-hand corner of the display. To get to the web configuration panel from a separate device, use a browser to navigate to the IP address shown on the Solstice display and click the [configure] button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Once in the configuration panel, click on the ‘Updates and Licensing’ tab. You will see any new versions of Solstice that are available for installation, and the option to install updates. Depending on your network, the update may take up to a few minutes to download and install. The Pod will restart at the end of installation. You can validate that you have the most current version by going back to the configuration panel and checking that no new updates are available.
