The Opportunity:

The Mersive Senior QA Engineer will embed with the Solstice team bring leadership and best practices to the table, driving quality process improvement and being the advocate for the discipline of quality across the cross-functional team. For this role, the Candidate will be able to perform/create manual and automated technical testing with the Mersive Development teams. They will lead projects and features and coordinate with the Automation testing team for test execution during regression cycles. The Senior QA Engineer will be able to work complex tasks with some independence. They can work in a team-based environment. And they will have the drive to focus on mastering areas of interest that benefit the team as well as themselves. This engineer should add excitement and fun to the QE team and also know when its time to get work done.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and improve upon test methodologies, efficiencies and incorporate automation.

  • Developing and executing manual test cases.

  • Experience developing automated test cases to add to current Automation Framework.

  • Define and implement automated Regression and New Feature tests.

  • Ensure regression suites sufficiently cover product features and areas of risk.

  • Assigns regression test cases and manages test programs.

  • API testing.

  • UI/UX testing.

  • Analysis.

  • Work within our Agile team structure to test development deliverables.

  • Utilize scripting / programming knowledge to create test tools.

  • Troubleshoot complex problems to the point of pinpointing the resolution.

  • Be an advocate for best software development practices.

  • “Think outside the box”.

  • Ability to interact across different teams.

  • Experience with Jira, TestRail, Command Line, GitHub, Git Bash.

  • Experience with performance, longevity testing (to name a few).




  • Takes initiative to chase down answers.

  • Proactive in test planning.

  • Able to prioritize and execute QE tasks with minimal supervision**.

  • Perform root cause analysis.

  • Mentor and guide junior level Quality engineers.

  • Optimize test cases for higher efficiency, especially for specific changes to code or features.

  • Skills in debugging and log reading.

  • Experience in creating scripts in Python.

  • Able to transfer knowledge to Confluence.

  • Experience testing mobile applications and devices.

  • Experience with video and multimedia streaming.

  • Must possess strong technical troubleshooting skills- able to parse log data and analyze.

  • Experience with defect and test tracking tools (i.e. Bugzilla, JIRA, Rally).

  • Passion for software development and then BREAKING that software.

  • Experience in Agile, Scrum or Kanban environment.

  • Experience with network concepts and hardware.

  • Skills using Wireshark.

  • Troubleshoot difficult escalated Support cases.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical QA experience.

  • Possess a positive attitude and ability to keep calm under tense situations.


Education and/or Experience:

  • 3 or more years of related experience in Software Quality Assurance.

  • Working embedded within a cross-functional team.

  • Proven track record identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies.

  • Experience with scoping, sizing and overseeing multiple concurrent projects, assessing the appropriate level of risk-based testing, and reviewing team deliverables.

  • Proven ability of working and leading multiple projects and releases, balancing time and effort for successful delivery.

  • Proven experience as a leader/trainer in a large, complex QA organization, with a demonstrated ability in leading a risk-based approach to software testing.

  • Total compensation range of $100,000.00 – $115,000.00, inclusive of salary and bonus (Denver-Based Positions Only).
