Mersive News:

April 2016

What’s been happening at Mersive Technologies.

Mersive recently released Solstice version 2.6 which includes performance and feature enhancements that improve usability across all use cases, network configurations, and user devices.

The 2.6 release specifically targets increased throughput (higher frames per second) and further reduces latency when desktops and videos are shared, providing an even smoother, more responsive collaboration experience for Solstice users.

In addition to performance improvements, the 2.6 release also includes several new features which further facilitate the deployment of Solstice on enterprise networks. Check out all the major new features and improvements below.

Solstice 2.6 Highlights

  • Reduced latency of desktop streaming by up to 75%
  • Increased framerates when multiple desktop streams are shared
  • 802.1X enterprise wireless support
  • Web proxy support for access to Solstice updates
  • Improved UI and workflow for iOS mirroring
  • Dashboard support for customization of the Solstice display splash screen

Solstice customers and users should update their Solstice hosts (Windows and Pods) and Solstice client apps to take advantage of the new performance improvements and features. Additionally, to get the best performance from Solstice, it is important that the host network is configured properly and is capable of supporting live video streaming.
