Mersive, a provider of display management and collaboration software, today announced the availability of Solstice SGE – Small Group Edition, a fully functioning version of Mersive’s award-winning Solstice software designed for smaller group settings. The new product version has all the same features Solstice users have become familiar with, the only difference being that it will only allow a maximum of four people to be sharing on the display at once, providing a more affordable option for meeting settings where only a few people need to be connected at the same time.
“Solstice has already established itself as the market leader in functionality and ease of use. With the introduction of Solstice SGE, Solstice is now also the price point leader – with far greater capability than the competition,” said Greg Schwartz, President of BTX, Mersive’s U.S. distributor. “Between Solstice SGE and Solstice’s unlimited user version, our customers can bring wireless collaboration to all rooms and venues.”
Introduced in March 2013, Mersive’s Solstice software enables an unlimited number of users to connect simultaneously to a shared display using a range of mobile devices and applications over an existing WiFi or Ethernet network. With Solstice, anyone can walk into a meeting room and instantly connect and start a collaboration session. Solstice SGE provides a fully functioning version of the software, but limits the number of simultaneous user connections to the screen to four at a time for a reduced price. MSRP for Solstice SGE is $1,800.
“When Solstice was introduced last year, we wanted to offer a tool that makes visual collaboration a simple and affordable solution for a broad range of customers and use cases ranging from corporate conference rooms to classrooms,” said Rob Balgley, CEO of Mersive. “Solstice Small Group Edition furthers this vision by making it more affordable, providing the same robust visual collaboration solution at a dramatically lower price point for team rooms, group study rooms, huddle rooms or meeting settings where only a small number of participants will be sharing the display.”
Mersive offers a free 30-day trial of Solstice Display Software, which needs to be installed on a Windows machine that is connected to a display. Users can then connect to the display by installing the free Solstice app on their laptop or mobile device. To request a free trial, visit www.mersive.com/solstice.
