Roll out in stages, with recovery for a failed load.
Polaris firmware is delivered over the air from Polaris Cloud. You can update ten rooms and watch them before updating the rest.
The pod keeps two firmware partitions: a new image installs beside the running one, and a pod that fails to come up on the new version returns to the last known-good one.
Recovery from a failed load is different from an administrator choosing an older version. The device refuses a downgrade to an earlier version.
Planned workspace controls.
Polaris currently sizes shared content automatically. Manual rearrangement of shared content is planned for Q4 2026; shared-workspace annotation is planned for Q1 2027. These two capabilities are not currently available.
These are planning targets, not committed release dates. This status was confirmed by Damian Blazy on 4 October 2026.
A snapshot of platform updates.
These summaries cover selected releases from Mersive's published notes, reviewed on August 15, 2026, and updated on September 29, 2026. They are listed newest first, and the filters show one platform at a time in the same order. This is a historical snapshot, not a complete or current release list. For current information and full release details, read the Mersive Release Notes or the Solstice Release Notes.
fixAirPlay support for Apple OS 27. Updates the Pod's AirPlay SDK so Macs, iPhones, and iPads running Apple OS 27 can connect. Pods without the update show errors such as "Unable to Connect". The same fix is available as a maintenance update for Pods on earlier Solstice versions.
featuresecurityfixMicrosoft Teams meetings and fewer emails. Rooms can join Microsoft Teams meetings as named, authenticated participants through your organization's Microsoft tenant, and users can start their next meeting from the Mersive app. Administrators set up the integration in the Portal's Integrations area. Device deletions, firmware updates, and deployment updates now arrive as a single digest email. Bulk onboarding jobs have a status page you can return to, and phones and tablets that open the web app are directed to the Mersive Connect mobile app. Fixes restore network settings in the Portal and correct a Polaris Pro dual-display issue that switched Extended mode to Mirrored at startup. Core platform libraries are updated to address known security vulnerabilities. A firmware update fixes a recurring Aw-Snap crash in the device control service.
featurefixMersive Solstice app for Apple silicon. Releases a Mersive Solstice app for macOS that runs natively on Apple silicon Macs. Intel-based Macs no longer support Solstice video conferencing, and the previous app release remains available for sharing on Intel-based Macs. Also speeds up PowerPoint slide transitions on Windows and Mac, removes a 15-second signage delay after an AirPlay session ends, makes Pod audio fully mutable during AirPlay, and keeps a disabled Presence Bar from reappearing after a share.
featuresecurityfixSignage caching and single sign-on. Videos can be cached on the device and played from local storage when the network is unavailable. Cached video can also be the primary signage source, with different videos assigned to different room states. The first phase of single sign-on adds Ping Identity integration. Other changes include a bulk device-information endpoint, pagination on the Devices page, and required authentication for the sleep, wake, and reboot scheduling endpoints. A later August update simplifies SSO setup and requires authentication on all applicable API gateway routes. A firmware update applies proxy settings from the Portal reliably and fixes a static IP issue that left some devices without a network connection after a firmware upgrade.
fixsecuritySharing, Wi-Fi, and browser updates. Improves simultaneous sharing to one pod and fixes a Polaris Pro dual-display output issue. Adds recovery from Wi-Fi drops without a reboot, enables Chromium sandboxing, and tightens browser access to system APIs.
featuresecurityEvent-driven signage and bulk APIs. Idle screens can respond to live room status: booked, available, or cannot book. The release notes report validation of bulk device and calendar APIs at a scale of 6,000 devices. Calendar and Wi-Fi secrets are encrypted at rest.
fixWi-Fi and video stability fixes. Fixes the Wi-Fi chip memory leak associated with Aw-Snap crashes and addresses intermittent Wi-Fi drops. Enables Miracast on the Mini and adds automatic video-decoder recovery without a reboot.
featurefixUsage analytics and update fixes. Adds room and device utilization charts in the portal's Analytics tab. Fixes an issue that dropped sharing sessions after 1 to 6 hours and repairs the over-the-air update path from older firmware.
fixMaintenance fixes. Provides bug fixes for Pods running version 6.3.1 or earlier, with upgrades available across the Solstice product suite.
fixWindows desktop-sharing fix. Fixes Windows 10 desktop-sharing flicker in the Mersive Solstice 6.3 app, along with other fixes for Pods running version 6.3 or earlier.
fixsecurityApp and certificate fixes. Fixes PowerPoint slide advancement in the Mersive Solstice app for Windows. Updates the SSL certificate used with share.mersive.com and improves handling of invalid SSL certificates. Also corrects the licenseStatus API, which had reported an expired subscription as OK.
featureDevice APIs and fleet onboarding. Adds APIs for remote reboot, sleep, wake, display information, and device information. Introduces bulk editing, CSV onboarding, WPA2-Enterprise onboarding with EAP-TLS and PEAP, and a calendar overlay on idle displays.
fixLanguage display fixes. Fixes two regressions introduced in version 6.2.2: incorrect display of non-English characters in the Mersive Solstice app for Windows and Mac, and a black screen and interface restart when sharing to a Pod set to Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, or Turkish.
featureDigital signage on idle displays. Adds image, video, YouTube, Google Slides, and HTML URL content on idle displays, along with custom instructions. Administrators can show or hide the display name, screen key, messaging, and clock.
fixsecurityActive Learning and certificate updates. Improves performance for Pods running version 6.2. A dropped secondary-display connection can reconnect automatically, and Active Learning receives fixes for session freezes. A new share.mersive.com certificate includes a 24-hour refresh check that avoids a reboot to refresh the certificate.
fixsecurityWeb server and API security updates. Adds the HSTS flag to the Pod web server's response headers. Includes a V2 API update that Mersive describes as enhancing security and performance, and corrects the subscription expiration date displayed on multi-bundle Pods.
featuresecurityfixGuided setup and the web app. Adds first-time setup screens that check network, internet, and Solstice Cloud connectivity, and fully releases the share.mersive.com web app. Adds Huddly L1 with a USB adapter to the tested peripherals. Fixes the factory-reset keyboard shortcut and video conferencing on Intel Macs running macOS Sonoma. Also includes a Pod interface software update that Mersive describes as improving security and signage stability.
