The challenge
Stevens needed to move its classrooms off VGA and HDMI at the podium to wireless, networked AV — without adding dongles or hubs for the IT team to buy, stock and manage.
The deployment
After rigorous testing that included Barco ClickShare and Crestron AirMedia, Stevens chose Solstice for reliability, ease of deployment and the interface. Cloud usage data — room usage, meeting frequency, devices per Pod — steered the campus-wide rollout and kept underused rooms off the purchase order. Pods sit alongside Epson projection, Samsung displays, Crestron control and Shure microphones.
Designed from the ground up for collaboration and not just presentation, Mersive is leading the category.
The outcome
Students are avid users, frequently connecting multiple devices to a single Pod. The networked AV also carried a rapid response during a cyber-attack, and the campus emergency alert system now integrates with Solstice so critical messages reach every Pod user.
