The challenge

600+ learning spaces ran on outdated systems from multiple brands with inconsistent interfaces. Departments had bought their own Pods and opened their own cloud tenants, which blocked centralized troubleshooting and drove maintenance costs up.

The deployment

University Audio Visual Services made Solstice the wireless standard and, in 2023, migrated every Pod into a single cloud tenant: full fleet visibility, standardized branding and interface templates, centralized updates across all campuses. The mandate set hard criteria — latency under half a second, support for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and centralized management.

Students and professors expect wireless sharing to just work, like it does on their phones. Now, it does.
Regina Greenwood, University Audio Visual Services IT Director

The outcome

New AV environments deploy significantly faster: over 100 projects completed in one year. Firmware updates and troubleshooting happen remotely instead of by service call, instructors broadcast content to multiple displays at once, and students share with no cables or dongles.
