Plain speakin': 802.1x means the network itself demands the device prove who it be before grantin' it a port; EAP-TLS be the strongest way to prove it, with a certificate instead o' a password. A dual-network posture means the device sits on two networks at once, corporate wired an' guest wireless, kept apart like two ships at anchor, so guests share without ever settin' foot on the corporate LAN.

Hardware that does not vary by tier — the 10-year platform lifecycle, the invariants it holds steady, an' the current silicon — be documented once, on the Pro spec sheet. Fungibility be within a tier: Pro an' Essentials be not interchangeable, an' the rows above be the reason why.

Hybrid additions HOST SETS SAIL Q4 2026

Link (the pod hosts the call) extends a Pro fleet. Link be a software bridge between the laptop in BYOM an' the pod, an' the pod be what commands the room's cameras an' peripherals — which be the Pro. Host (the room hosts the whole meetin') extends either tier, because Host can carry the peripherals itself: on Pro they connect straight to the pod an' the cables stay at the front o' the room; on Essentials they cable to the Host, which pairs with the Essentials unit, an' that means a cable runnin' to the table. Larger rooms will usually want a Pro fer exactly that reason, savvy.
