What Pro doth

Four capabilities, and one room.

The whole workspace of many shares

Live sources composed side by side, compared, annotated, rearranged live, up to the published ceiling of each tier: 5 upon Essentials, 10 upon Pro. The room's silicon doth the labour; no one's laptop beareth the load.

Wherefore the workspace prevaileth

True wireless BYOM

Thy Teams/Zoom/Webex/Meet call, the room's camera and mic, no cable upon the table, and many users, so the second presenter never waiteth upon a dongle.

The hybrid tale

Sharing across networks

Upon every Polaris tier, Pro withal: guests upon LTE, staff upon corp Wi-Fi, the display upon an AV VLAN, one workspace, no VPN, no UC call. Eleven of the twelve rivals we examined in August 2026 document media upon the LAN alone, by their own published specifications; one of them saith it plainly: users upon a cellular network or guest Wi-Fi cannot use it. The list of vendors and the sources are upon the architecture page and the compare matrix.

Behold the architecture

Web-join: naught to install

Share from the browser upon the device thou camest in with, Chromebooks withal. No client, no admin rights, no drawer of dongles.

How web-join doth work
Security

The device, too, is tested, and by another hand.

Certifications bounded to a cloud say naught of the box upon the wall, so the box hath its own proof. Two outside firms have had at it: one over the network, one with the lid off.

An independent scan · July 2026

No network attack surface worthy of the name

An outside firm did scan a managed Pod. The ports that answer are the casting and appliance functions, and no persistent media listener could be enumerated at all; the path of real-time media useth ephemeral UDP ports, one set per session, that answer only after ICE consent. There standeth no media service in the room to be probed.

An independent physical assault · May 2025

Opened, probed, and it held fast

A firm took a Gen 4 Pod in hand, opened it and assailed the hardware: UART and JTAG upon the debug headers, an attempt to lift the firmware off the flash, a man-in-the-middle in the lab. No critical, high, medium or low-severity vulnerabilities were found. Root login over the debug interface is refused outright, with no password prompt so much as offered; the firmware could not be drawn out; no personally identifiable information was found stored upon the device; and a false certificate presented was refused: the Pod failed the handshake and ceased speaking with Mersive rather than trust the interceptor.

Upon the device

Secure boot, keys under seal, an allowlist and 802.1X

Secure boot is required upon production firmware. The device's own identity keys are sealed within an NXP SE050 secure element. USB access is by allowlist. 802.1X with EAP-TLS maketh the room a citizen of the first rank in thy NAC, not an exception within it.

The company, and eke the cloud

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 · SOC 2 Type 2

Mersive is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, with no nonconformities raised at the June 2026 surveillance audit, and the Polaris cloud unto which this Pro unit reporteth is SOC 2 Type 2 attested.

Their caveat, which we keep: this maketh not compromise impossible, but it would require an adversary of great skill and effort. The whole architecture, every statement of scope and the audit's findings: the Trust Center.

Shares at once within the workspacePolaris Pro can at present uphold as many as 10 live sources, composed side by side
Web-join from the browser: no app, no download withal✓ share from the device thou camest in with
Native AirPlay · Miracast · Google Cast (upon the LAN)✓ all three, built within: cast from Apple, Windows and Chromebook devices upon the room's network with naught installed
Sharing on the move · phones and tablets✓ the Polaris app for iOS and Android: share thy screen, thy pictures or a live whiteboard, and command the workspace from thy seat
Network3 rows ▾
SpecificationPolaris Pro
802.1X authentication upon the network✓ EAP-TLS, PEAP, TTLS or EAP-PWD, upon wired Ethernet and upon Wi-Fi (WPA2-Enterprise). Furnish a CA certificate, a client certificate and a private key; the private key thou suppliest is kept encrypted at rest under a key that is itself sealed within the NXP SE050 secure element, and not in plaintext configuration
A posture of twin networks: corp + guest, kept apartWired GbE and the wireless radio run at once, and the pod forwardeth naught between them: its firewall droppeth all forwarded traffic and the firmware never enableth IP forwarding. Corporate upon the wire, guests upon Wi-Fi — kept apart because the device is no router, not because of a policy someone might unmake
Relay across networks: subnets / VLANs / internet✓ direct connections brokered by the cloud; signalling is outbound only, TLS on TCP 443; no inbound firewall rules

In plain speech: 802.1x meaneth the network itself demandeth the device prove who it is ere granting a port; EAP-TLS proveth it with a certificate instead of a password. A posture of twin networks meaneth the device sitteth upon two networks at once, kept apart, so guests share without ever touching the corporate LAN.

Security8 rows ▾
SpecificationPolaris Pro
Encryption whilst in transitSignalling and governance of the fleet run outbound over HTTPS unto Polaris Cloud. The device exposeth no TLS listener of its own, so a port scan of the pod findeth naught to negotiate against — the encryption that mattereth is upon the outbound leg, not upon an open port in thy room
Secure boot · a secure element✓ secure boot is required upon production firmware and is rooted in Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A); the NXP SE050 secure element aboard holdeth the device's own keys of identity and update verification in hardware
A supply chain true to TAA✓ built with Advantech in Taiwan, a land designated by TAA, the bare printed circuit board being the only item in the build sourced from China
An OS of hardened Linux✓ a Linux made for this purpose and pared to the bone at the display: no Windows attack surface, no desktop for general use
Custody of keys: where private keys do dwell✓ the device's private keys are begotten and used within the NXP SE050 secure element and never cross its border. The channel betwixt the application and the secure element is itself authenticated and encrypted (GlobalPlatform SCP-03), and the keys of that channel are held in ARM TrustZone secure firmware, where neither the operating system nor any application may read them.
Signed updates, no downgrade — and a rollback of its own accord should a load fail✓ two several things, and both do matter. Update packages are tried for authenticity and integrity ere they be applied, and the device will not accept a downgrade to an earlier version, so a firmware known to be vulnerable cannot be thrust back upon a Pod. Apart from this, the pod keepeth two firmware partitions: a new image installeth beside the running one, not over it, and a pod that faileth to rise upon the new version riseth again upon the last one known to be good. A deliberate downgrade is refused; a bad load recovereth itself.
Content that endureth not✓ shared content is composed on the fly and not written to the device, and ephemeral session data — content, session keys and random values begotten — is overwritten at the end of every session, sessions abandoned rather than cleanly ended withal.
Physical: a Kensington Nano Security Slot✓ upon the chassis

Questions oft asked

Polaris Pro, answered plain.

How many souls may share at once upon Polaris Pro?

Some 10 live sources, composed side by side and laid out of themselves as sources join and depart. The ceiling is memory upon the chassis, not a licence: naught in the software counteth sources or refuseth one.

Doth Polaris Pro uphold wireless BYOM?

Aye. The room's camera and microphone attach unto the pod over USB, and the pod bridgeth them into a Teams, Zoom, Webex or Meet call brought in from a laptop. Link is a bridge of software betwixt the laptop in BYOM and the Pro, and the Pro is what ruleth the room's cameras and peripherals. That is wherefore Link requireth a Pro.

How hybrid meetings do work upon Polaris.

What differeth betwixt Polaris Pro and Polaris Essentials?

Essentials runneth the selfsame Polaris software as Pro: the same workspace, the same cloud, the same posture of security. The differences are the chassis, not the platform.

Essentials: one HDMI output, no HDMI input, no USB, no audio out. Pro: twin HDMI output, HDMI input, 2x USB 3.0 Type-C host, and analog audio out.

Compare thou the Polaris family.

May a guest share from another network without a VPN?

Aye. Sharing across networks is included upon every Polaris tier. Direct connections brokered by the cloud, with TLS signalling outbound only on TCP 443: no VPN, and no inbound firewall rule.

Behold the architecture.

May Polaris Pro take a wired HDMI source?

Aye. Polaris Pro hath an HDMI input. An HDMI source joineth the workspace as a tile by default. Direct bypass taketh the glass full screen and keepeth that feed within the room.
