Mersive Introduces Solstice at DEMO Fall 2012

Today, Mersive, a leading provider of visual computing software, is at DEMO Fall 2012, world-renowned as a venue for launching the most innovative companies and products, to introduce its new media sharing and display management software – Solstice.

Solstice software virtualizes displays into a single Pixel Landscape® allowing content to move easily from one screen to another. Multiple users can share a single screen simultaneously using a range of devices and applications running on an existing IP network.

“With the introduction of Solstice, Mersive is solving some common problems we’ve all faced in meetings, and at the same time bringing to market technology that transforms how displays fit into our IT infrastructure,” said Mersive CEO Rob Balgley. “This continues Mersive’s leadership position in creating a new class of displays that make visual collaboration a simple and affordable solution for a broad range of customers.”

Among the features included in Solstice are:

  • Simple user interface to manage the Pixel Landscape®
  • One-button discovery of any Solstice enabled display
  • Simultaneous display access for multiple users
  • Connect with laptops, tablets or smartphones
  • Cable-free connection using existing IP networks
  • Click to share one window, multiple windows or full screen
  • Secure, managed pixel streaming to the shared display

“I am thrilled to be here at DEMO to introduce to the world what started as a research project several years ago,” said Mersive Founder Christopher Jaynes. “Grant money from the National Science Foundation and support from our investors has helped us turn the Pixel Landscape vision into a tangible product to benefit a broad cross-section of customers.”

Mersive will provide a live, six-minute demonstration of Solstice on the DEMO Fall 2012 stage at 11:29 a.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, October 2, and will host ongoing demonstrations at kiosk D54 in the DEMO Pavilion.

“Budgetary constraints, increased competition and a savvy customer base mean that today’s enterprises are continually on the lookout for the top innovations that provide a competitive advantage.” said Matt Marshall, executive producer of DEMO.  “We are excited to be providing the platform for these DEMO Fall 2012 demonstrators to showcase their technologies to the world.”
