Mersive, a leading provider of visual computing software that creates and manages high performance displays, today announced availability of an updated version of Sol HPS which can transform any video cube wall into a large-scale, beyond HD, seamless display. As is standard in all versions of Sol, the software produces superior resolution and image quality.
Since it was first released in 2006, Mersive’s Sol has brought unprecedented simplicity and affordability to large-scale, beyond-HD displays. Mersive sells several varieties of Sol software to meet the needs of a range of customer environments. Sol HPS supports displays that are running multiple content applications from a video wall controller or computer and does not require any direct integration with the content source or image generator (IG). The software is projector and content agnostic, connecting via DVI/HDMI inputs/outputs.
New features in release 12.05 include:
– Faster install – a single process to install Sol HPS, camera and Harmony software
– Faster calibrations – fewer pictures needed speeding processing time
– Higher resolution – supports up to 1920×1200
– Aspect ratio correction – supports stretch, fit or fill options
– Improved brightness checker – guides to proper aperture and shutter settings for the camera
– Additional camera mounting options – works with ceiling mounts
– Improved user interface – hover over thumbnails in workflow for easier navigation
“This release provides some very practical updates that make Sol HPS even more user friendly,” said Scott Ruff, Mersive director of engineering. “This release provides the same flexibility that our customers are used to with Sol and Harmony enhanced with an even faster install process, shorter calibration times and support for resolutions up to 1920×1200.”
